A dream come true: Teo and Yap with a mock cheque after emerging winners in the online public voting wedding contest. |
The online contest was organised by Berjaya Hotels & Resorts and it started on Oct 14 last year.
Berjaya Hotels & Resorts Marketing Communications director Thang Han- Ni said that the competition was divided into four phases where in Phase One the Berjaya Hotels & Resorts will select 50 couples to move on to Phase Two based on the couple’s creativity in answering questions about their dream wedding.
“The second phase solely relied on public voting as the 50 couples had to post a video to convince the voters why they deserved to win the contest. The seven couples with the highest votes advanced to the next phase,” said Thang.
“In Phase Three, selected couples previewed their wedding attire as well as took part in other activities. They were treated to a photo shoot by renowned wedding photographer Edmund Tham and had to blog about their experiences so that the public could vote for their top three favourites,” said Thang.
She added that in Phase Four, the public decided on the winning couple.
